Impact (11-18s)

Impact is our Youth Group for 11-18s. We meet in the St Andrew’s Memorial Hall from 7:15-9pm on Friday evenings during term time.

What happens?
It’s a great place to meet new people and catch up with friends. We play games, eat, and have fun, and at the centre of our time together we explore what Christians believe and what life looks like when we follow Jesus. We are made up of young people from St Luke's and St Andrew's as well as friends from school too. Everyone is welcome - especially if you're new! Once a year, we go on a weekend away to Wydale (near Scarborough) - we're looking forward to our next time away in March.

What's the plan for this term (Spring 2019)?

For the first Half Term, we will continue our overview of the whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. We'll be tracing some of the main themes, and discussing some of the most important and controversial ideas in there, and seeing how this ancient collection of books has become so influential, and how it still applies to us today.

We're now in the New Testament, following the story of the first churches, seeing what they got up to and what opposition they faced, and how we got to where we are today.

During this term it's our annual Weekend Away (Friday 22nd - Sunday 24th March). For details about that, talk to Jonny Guy or David Spence.
